guitars I love to play guitar, and I've been playing for around 19 years now. I started shortly after graduating from high-school (to help heal from a hard break-up), and I really wish I had picked it up earlier. Regardless, this is the most rewarding hobby I could imagine having. I don't play for a living, but many of my friends do so I live vicariously through them. At least with my "real job" I can actually afford the gear I want. :) You can see my two favorite guitars below. The one on the left is my 63 Fender Stratocaster. On the right is my 2005 Gibson ES-335. I had my buddy Lash remove the finish from the back of the neck and now this guitar plays like a dream! The studio is a bit of a mess in this photo. It was taken just after construction so I hadn't gotten everything organized and cleaned yet. I've been busy with work, family, books, and my graduate degree, but I hope to find some time to add information here on some of my favorite guitars - including a hand-built guitar made for Michael Lee Firkins when he first got signed with Yamaha!
